Coleshill went out of the Twenty20 Challenge Cup last night at Walmley despite a brilliant performance which ended unrewarded.
In what turned out to be a fantastic game of cricket, Premier Division Walmley were looking on their way out at one stage until they fought back late on to win by four wickets.
Coleshill started well with 74 put on for the first wicket between DK Ranaweera (35) and Lee Craig (30) before the innings fell away somewhat in the second half to 115-6.
In reply skipper Kevin Crotty took centre-stage taking his first ever career hat-trick in the sixth over as Walmley collapsed to 18-4.
However after also losing two further wickets with the score in the 50s, Nadeem (32*) and Griffiths (27*) didn't panick and put on an unbeaten 60 to bring home victory to the Sutton-based side.
Coleshill's 2nd team enjoyed a superb victory away to Eastnor on Saturday by 58 runs. Saturday's match saw Coleshill's first win under the captaincy of Mat Denham this season, against Eastnor. The pic
